Before 

and after 

the politics

We were

We are

And we will

still be

the friends

we've always 

been

It is silly

to go apart

just cos different 

paths

in politics we've 

chosen 

when the game

is only about

ideological conflicts

But friendship

is sacred

Just remember 

the secret

that bonded 

you and me

as one 

before the politics

And capture

the future

that will meet us

tomorrow

after today is

down 

with its differences

The farmer returns

home

the fisherman

to shore

We will also

return at low tide 

to eat from this same

ancient earthen bowl

that Naase Abrewa is asking 

you and me

to never throw

away at high tide

And remember 

You are their 

comrade

But you are 

my friend

So never say bye

even when you

reach the sky
